Experience

January 2021 – Current
Administrative Assistant. UTS Connected Intelligence Centre & Institute for Interactive Media & Learning
Start from January this year, my skills were put into use with increasing opportunities, from editing videos to modifying the UTS Handbook and designing graphic materials. Moreover, I encountered a new area - event coordination. Shifted from a solo to a team player, I started to enjoy working in a productive team environment. By liaising with the event facilitators regarding their requirements and expectation, I assisted with planning, publishing, promoting and reviewing phases throughout LX.Lab events. I've never imagined myself in this position before, but it turned out to be a fairly good self-improving and eye-opening opportunity for me.

January 2020 – June 2020
Project Coordinator. UTS Program Mnagement Office
When I first entered the office, it was like a whole new world to me. But soon I caught up with the team with the help of my supervisor, whom I'm forever grateful for. As the project coordinator at PMO, I liaised UTS internal stakeholders with construction contractors by distribuing the disruption notices, collecting their concerns and complaints, and making the proper adjustment to the upcoming programs. As a result, I coordinated defects rectification with minimal disruption within the appropriate period of time. Since a single defect rectification could affect multiple internal stakeholders, my job was to ensure that things perform smoothly and resolve all possible concerns within 72 hours. Being involved in program management offered me a real-world experience of the importance of communication, teamwork and efficiency.

November 2019 – December 2020
Internship. UTS Connected Intelligence Centre
CIC is a wonderful place where I not only performed general administration duties, but constantly learnt new technologies. During this unique period of time, I set up the CIC Intranet site accomodating the needs of staff and students, and facilitated a COVID safe return to office environment according to government safety recommendations once we're slowly moving to hybrid working. I've explored WordPress as much as possible since I was responsible for maintaining and updating the CIC website and HDR websites to ensure relevance. I also utilised my video editing skills to edit the lectures, speeches and conference recordings.

June 2014 – June 2017
English Tutor. Self Employed
I began to be an English tutor teaching two kids by chance. They are bright and clever kids with talent, the main focus for me at that time was to build their interest in this language. Therefore, I developed personal study plans according to their curriculum, and I was able to attract their attention throughout the sessions effectively. Eventually, I guided them to form the ability to express themselves confidently, and their grades improved as well. I am blessed to have such a precious opportunity to teach these two little buddies.
